Sunny Autumn kisses from Burberry

Yes I do like Burberry makeup. In fact: I like it very much because it gives me that subtle, office-chic look without no effort at all. People who are looking for muted, down to earth colours, bright nails and products that doesn’t have super rich colour payoff, but rather a sophisticated wash of sheen will love the range!

In the world of Beauty, the pictures and reviews of Burberry’s AutumnWinter 2015 collection is not exactly news. The buzz and the pictures have been all over the internet for some time now. Finally, the collection has now reached Dubai!

What’s interesting about the AW15 collection, is that it more than ever shows that Burberry is creating makeup for all kinds women. For me, with my olive-medium-dark toned skin, it is lovely to see that the new range of foundations are growing. As seen above, the Runway looks fitted all skin tones and featured an Earthy, sun kissed palette with smokey eyes in all from green, over grey and down to brown where represented.

I use the Fresh Glow Foundation during daytime, as it is medium coverage and produces a luminosity to my skin. On top of the Fresh Glow Fluid Base (not in the pictures) it stays put in the heat.

The AW15 makeup is inspired by the Burberry Women’s wear collection called ” Patchwork, Pattern & Prints”. It features camouflage colours, dark toned accessories and to be perfectly honest; the military green pop of colours are not what I enjoy the most. The eyeshadow Camouflage palette has been raved about but I have other favourites of this launch. Let me show you!

The collection is developed by Burberry MUA Consultant Wendy Rowe and also focus on matte, nude lips, warm toned skin and as said; the ability to use subtle colours to do a smokey eye.

Adding to the existing range of Eye Colour Creams are two new favourites of mine: the No. 102 Mink and the No. 114 Charcoal. If you are only going to buy two creamy eyeshadows this season, you might just find that these two are enough!

Yes, Mom, I’m looking at you ♥

If you prefer powdery eyeshadows (or like to layer them on top of the cream ones) the Runway look showed warm, sandy tones that looks good on most complexions. I though of “job interview” when I saw this, or perfect for those who are told not to wear to much makeup at work, but still wish to look luminous and polished. It is the Light Glow Earthy Blush No. 7. Not an eyeshadow per se, but a blush that works well on both lids and cheekbones. If you want to look a bit more edgy, the collection also includes a Kohl pencil in dark military green!

And here comes the great part: Burberry wouldn’t be Burberry without some Gift sets. Although I myself are lousy at applying nail polish and rather have someone else do it for me, this is a fun and beautiful limited edition colour set up to give away! Use it as a gift to the Hostess next time you are invited for dinner. This picture gives me such Christmas vibes, I must have skipped the AW all together!

And for the finale: Wendy Rowe is routing for Matte Nude lips. It is well known that “nude” can also be translated to “your own lip colour, but better” so a pale peach or a darker rose nude are suitable for different faces. Having said that, the range of Burberry Kisses Lipstick is getting a new member with Matte Nude Beige No. 01. It goes on semi-matte, is buildable sheer to high coverage and Burberry describes it to have “intense dept and vibrancy”. I think the colour is just gorgeous and as I own several others from the range, I can tell you that they are beautiful and not drying even though being “matte” on dehydrated lips.

So I may defenitly not be Cara or Kate, but Burberry Makeup still makes me feel polished and modern without feeling overly trendy. In a good way. Ah, you know what I mean! With NYFW, LFW and MFW just about done, I scrolled over hundreds of pictures showing the runway makeup and found Burberry to be at the top of my list. It’s incredibly wearable and flattering for your face and yes, the packaging is pretty as can be.

Very much That Luxurious Feeling! Do you enjoy the range?
