In the Spirit of Halloween

While some #muotd are immaculate; other mornings are just impossible! I had a meeting downtown and my face and hands just felt dehydrated and in need of some love.

It became a Halloween-themed morning, so much I just needed to add the pumpkins in and it was all set!

I wouldn’t have mind though, to wear a witch-costume to work, I felt it would have suited me perfectly!

For the “serum part” of my morning routine, I drenched my face in Lierac Paris Mésolift Serum which is an ultra vitamin-enriched serum that contains a lot of vitamin C, A, E, B5 and B6 and full of blood orange extract. With the Vitamin A part, I always make sure to wear SPF on top!

This serum is beautiful. I’m on my second bottle now, it comes with a dropper and goes in to the skin with and undetectable finish. A waterbased serum that I sometimes layer with an oiled based, even during daytime. It’s an instant pick-me-up! I truly recommend it.

I needed an almost makeup-free day, so I skipped the base all along and just settled for some Chanel Illisuon d’ombre in #116 Rouge-Gorge from the AW15 collection. On me, it goes on slightly powdery with a hint of dark peach and orange topped with a nice sheen. It’s buildable for more colour, but perfect for daytime with a hint of brown shadow in the crease and lash-lines topped of with a load of mascara.

A pop of sheer lipgloss in orange from Clarins finished my look and instead of perfume, I just carried The Body Shops hand cream with Mango seed oil with me for my hands and lower arms. Like that, I felt fresh and fruity. Easy and more awake!

When I was younger, I never fancied orange or peachy tones for makeup. I’m not sure if it feels more suitable here in palm-paradise but nowadays I’m drawn to the whole colour spectrum and wears it on everything from toenails to accessories. I really love the colours, they pop beautifully on my olive skin and makes me look very healthy but still fun. Do you tend to wear these colours much?

Happy Halloween Darlings! ♥
